Ghana Needs a National Drug & Substance Abuse Policy & Law......Drug and substance abuse is a multi-factorial , multi-billion dollar business that is now
(i) a major killer and destroyer of health in Ghana (go to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital; the majority of the young people you see there are there because of drug addiction) ;
(ii) stifles the potential and well-being of our young people (I have personally treated many University , other tertiary institution and secondary school drop outs due to drug and drug related problems) and
(iii) now threatens our National Security. |
