
The Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) elected its Presidential Candidate Emmanuel Ansah-Antwi at the party's first National Delegates Congress at the Accra Polytechnic Campus.
Mr Emmanuel Ansah-Antwi, Marketing Consultant who won the flag bearership of the party had 868 votes representing 81.2 percent of the total votes cast while Alhaji Rahaman Isakah had 201 votes also representing 18.8 percent of the total votes cast.
In his remarks, the flag bearer noted that this is the beginning of the race towards victory come December, 2008. He was aware of the fact that other political parties have started their campaign but assured all supporters that DFP would step up it campaign in order to match them "boot for boot."
The Marketing Consultant promised to secure the needed resources to support the party so as to make campaigning more effective, "funding is not a problem," he further assured.
